Aside from having the opportunity to design numerous print pieces for SEND while a part of the media department, I was in charge of design and layout for three annual reports. Of the three, this is by far my favorite. With guidance from the Department head, we would sit down with one of our writers to come up with a theme for the year. After that, the writer would start assembling stories with suggestions on visuals that would help the story. After that, it was up to me to put the piece together.
Numerous meetings occurred where changes were suggested and things were re-arranged. When we made enough progress, we would have a meeting with the General Director of the organization and get his input. Like any project involving multiple departments of an organization, changes were made along with many meetings and a lot of conversation. This was, after all, the annual report. In the end, we were very pleased with the results, and it was recieved just as positively.
